Import Expo - Cooperation Framework Agreement on Marine Lubricants between China Merchants Shipping and ExxonMobil

On 8 November, 2018, China Merchants Shipping launched a Signing Ceremony for the Cooperation Framework Agreement on Marine Lubricants with ExxonMobil at the first China International Import Expo. Mr Xie Chunlin, Director of China Merchants Shipping and President of CMES, and Mr Robert Lesniewski, Marine Lubricants Global Strategic Relationship Manager at ExxonMobil Fuels & Lubricants Company, delivered speeches respectively, and Mr Xu Hui, Deputy Director of China Merchants Shipping, presided over the meeting.

 

Mr Xie gave an overview on the development of China Merchants shipping. He pointed out that CMES always adheres to the code of conduct of "Prioritizing Quantity and Customer Focus", upholds the basic principle of "Mutual Benefit and Win-win situation for better future" and puts "Cooperate and be Open Minded" into practice. CMES is happy to strengthen communication with all parties including ExxonMobil, to leverage their respective advantages, so as to continuously enrich and expand the cooperation realm.

 

Mr Robert Lesniewski unreservedly affirmed the gratifying progress in their cooperation. He held a strong belief that both legendary group with long and glorious history, namely ExxonMobil and China Merchants Shipping would be able to move towards a more profound strategic partnership through a series of commercial cooperation.

 

On behalf of their respective party, Mr Zhang Shiwei, Chief Engineer and Deputy Safety Director of China Merchants Shipping, and Mr Lesniewski signed the agreement.

 

As one of the prompt signing events of the State Enterprise Trading Group as recognized by the SASAC, this signing of agreements serves as an important milestone of outstanding achievement since the launch of the centralization of bargaining for marine commodities.

 

Other relevant parties also participated in the signing ceremony, including Mr  Xu Tinghui, Deputy Director of China Merchants Shipping, Mr Gao Peng, General Manager of ExxonMobil North Asia Marine Lubricant Business Unit, Mr Joe Nguyen, senior chartering specialist, Mr Teena, Regional Manager of Greater China for Marine Lubricant Business Unit and related staffs of IMC (Shanghai), Shanghai International, foreign transport operations, and ExxonMobil Shanghai.
